Using a lively palette comprising shades of yellow, white, grey and touches of pink and green, the artist has used short and painterly brushstrokes to create this uplifting yet relaxing composition. A fence is depicted running through lush yellow fields, with a gate opening in the middle of the landscape.
Upon having a close-up look at the painting, one can notice the artist’s display of painterly skills – as he wonderfully layers colours upon one another to create this outstanding and lightly textured composition.
This oil on canvas painting is housed in a simple white painted wood frame, which suits it very well and gives it a slightly more contemporary edge. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition
