A tranquil and restful mid century modernist coastal landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas.

This panoramic view of nature  presents a row of farmhouses by a coastline, surrounded by lush greenery.

Working with a restrained soothing colour palette, the artist has used distinct flat planes of contrasting colours to demonstrate depth to the painting. As our eyes scan down from top to bottom, we can notice that the brushstrokes transition from smooth and gentle strokes used to paint the sky, to more textured and expressive strokes to render the textured nature of sand.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary silver frame. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and the frame as some scuffing to the left edge.
