Fading Horizon

An atmospheric mid-century landscape that presents a sweeping, almost abstracted view of land meeting sky,  executed in oil onto canvas.

The composition is defined by a broad diagonal plane that draws the viewer’s eye into the distance, suggesting an open field or coastal terrain softened by mist. The forms are intentionally understated, allowing mood and atmosphere to take precedence over literal detail.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary slim gilt frame. There is a small mark visible in the light section of the sky and some areas of craquelure present, but the painting is in good vintage condition overall.
