A dynamic and well-balanced mid century landscape painting, executed in oil.

Painted in an abstract manner, the work presents a panoramic view of a sunset over sand dunes in the vast desert.

The artist has selected a naturalistic palette comprising neutral shades of sand, tan, brown and beige. The overall colour scheme evokes tranquility. The colours harmonise beautifully , and the overlapping shades create depth within the painting.

Painterly and dynamic brushstrokes have been executed swiftly, wonderfully capturing the wind-swept sand across various directions in the desert, adding a lively and luminous touch to the work. Yet there is a softness to its overall feel.

This oil on board is housed in a complementary wood frame with an inner linen lining. There is a very tiny pinhole mark to the lower left corner of the panting, and there is some scuffing to the top left edge of the inner section of the frame, but the painting is in good vintage condition overall.
