A charming and scenic mid century oil painting presenting a view of houses lined by a coastal front. As evening sets, hues of pink fill the sky and the shimmering blue water is beaming with serenity.

Working with a modernist ethos in mind, the artist has intentionally chosen not to focus on realistic details, and instead explores the use of colours, brushstrokes and form to create a sense of depth and space.

Lively colours and expressive multi-directional brushstrokes have been used extensively in this work, producing distinct forms and breathing life into this overall striking composition.

This oil on canvas is in excellent vintage condition. It is housed in a rustic wood frame with an inner linen lining . There are some watermarks on the frame as shown in the images but does not detract from its overall attractiveness.
