Gentle yet expressive brushwork has been used, resulting in lots of texture as well as paint detail for the viewer to explore. The way the artist has painted the diffused light in the water and sky is reminiscent of the way Impressionist painters like Turner captured the ephemeral nature of light.
This very calm and soothing painting is housed in a stunning grey wood frame with visible grain. Both frame and painting are in excellent vintage condition.
