An excellently executed semi abstract mid century portrait, painted in oil onto board.
The artist has used a vivid and bold colour palette, incorporating areas of thick impasto for added effect and three dimensionality. The features of the figures have been left out, focusing instead on the shape and form of them, giving this painting a timelessness. There is an innocence to the way the artist has painted the figures, capturing the youth of the figures.
The painting is housed in a silver frame which has an inner linen lining. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition. The frame has some very minor scuffs which are only noticeable upon close inspection.
