A wonderfully rendered charming still life, painted in 1969. Petite pink flowers are placed in a glass, as it sits on top of a table, alongside an empty bowl and 2 fruits. The colour palette and style of the work is playful and cheery – a nod to sunny days and good times.
Soft and fine strokes have been used paint the overall work, but the sweeping brushstrokes used to paint the creases in the yellow table runner convey a sense of movement in the work.
This painting on board is in excellent vintage condition.
It comes with a uniquely decorated frame with hand moulding and a gold border, which pairs extremely well with painting.
