Housed in a robust and heavy dark gilt frame, this textured oil of a village scene is full of depth and character. Swathes of paint in different shades of blue and green have been applied generously to create this mid century composition.
The painting is in excellent vintage condition. There is some paint loss to the lower edge of the frame but this is in keeping with its style and doesn’t detract from its overall attractiveness.
