A large and striking mid century abstract composition in oil, painted onto board.

This vintage oil features large swatches of black and brown forms, with interesting pink, green and orange detailing. The ‘negative space’ surrounding the forms have  been painted in a light blue / lilac colour. The combination of forms and shapes on the surface create a very well balanced composition which is very satisfying to look at it.

The painting is housed in a mid century black painted frame which has a painted inner linen lined border. The painting is in good condition. The frame has some general wear included scattered paint losses and scuffs. The painting can be hung as is for a ‘shabby chic’ look, or could be reframed for a modern look.
