    The painting features a scenic and charming city surrounded by lush greenery. In the foreground, a group of figures are depicted on a pathway walking towards the city.

    Painted with a modernist ethos, the artist reconstructed the buildings into flat blocks of contrasting colours to create a sense of space and depth.

    A vibrant and playful mid century cubist modernist composition in oil, painted on board.

    With a focus on shape, colour and line, the artist has abstracted what appears to be a still life composition of drinking mugs and vessels, creating a fragmented effect. This stylisation and distortion is typical of the cubist ethos, rejecting the inherited concept that art should copy nature, and instead emphasising the two-dimensionality of the canvas. The artist has done this by reducing and fracturing objects into geometric forms, and then realigning these within a shallow, relief-like space, with multiple vantage points.
