An atmospheric mid 20th century modernist winter landscape composition, executed in oil onto canvas.

The painting presents a winter scene, where a fence surrounds a row of coloured houses, and the sky has hints of pink and blue hues.

Executed in a semi-abstract manner, the artist has intentionally left out realistic details of the houses, and has reduced each form down to blocks of contrasting shades.

A gentle muted and subdued colour palette has been used, wonderfully capturing the mellow essence of winter.

This oil on canvas is housed in a stunning wood frame with visible grains. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
