Here we see three figures within a town scene, with the view of the sea in the background. The artist captures ‘everyday life’ in this town, with people going about their daily business. There is a sense of comfort and homeliness in the picture, made even more so by the use of the warm and inviting colour palette. The use of non realistic colours gives the painting its modernist feel, while still capturing the essence of the scene.

This oil on board is housed in a wood a gilt vintage distressed frame. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
