A very striking abstract composition of a group of silhouetted figures, painted in 1972. The artist has used a restrained palette of blues, purples and greens to render this composition in oil. Setting the dark figures against the lighter blue background, the artist has created a palpable rhythm within the picture, encouraging our eyes to follow the alternating upward and downward curved outlines of the figures. There artist has included a tiny pop of yellow to the right side of the painting, which punctuates the painting wonderfully.

This oil on board is in excellent vintage condition. The painting is currently unframed, and is painted onto sturdy board. It could be displayed in its current state on an easel or leant against a shelf.
