Featuring a flattened perspective and blocks of colours in warm earthy tones, the artist has focused on the formal qualities of the landscape as opposed to trying to mimic reality. Dotted across the centre of the composition are the houses, with rural fields surrounding them. There is a very endearing ‘naïve’ quality to the painting, characterised by its simplicity in vision and execution.

This oil painting is housed in an elegant slim gilt frame. The painting is in very good vintage condition. The frame has some minor wear.
