A very finely executed modernist painting of 4 farmers in an open agricultural field, harvesting lush crops of wheat.

The artist has confidently executed the work with bold and expressive brushstrokes, skilfully separating the sky, forest and field through different plains of earthy colours.

The painting is framed in a unique and characterful wood and gilt frame with an inner maroon velvet lining. The grain of the wood frame has purposefully been left exposed under the gilt coating, adding a wonderful effect.

Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
