Confident, expressive brushstrokes in rich colours have been applied to create this still life composition featuring a green apple on a brown plate, placed atop a table and set against a bold green background.

The artist displays his artistic skills – thoughtfully using a blend and mix of colours to emphasise the objects’ three-dimensional qualities as well as to capture their reflection on the table.

The painting is housed in a complementary grey wood frame with an inner gilt window that illuminates the painting. Both artwork and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
