A lively, vibrant mid century café scene painted in oil on to canvas. In the forefront of the picture, several faceless figures seat awaiting service, while behind them stand a row of cafe staff, serving drinks and preparing tables. The composition is well balanced, with four white parasols adding a sense of movement to the painting. The artist has also used several different layers of paint for the  background, creating depth and texture. Details such like the time of day or the location are indiscernible,  but there is a distinct air of light-heartedness and cheerfulness within the painting.

This  oil on canvas is housed in a robust gilt frame with a beaded design. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
