The artist shows off his painterly skills – displaying his talents of the use of a palette knife not only in the application of paint, but in mixing colours as well.

Through the selection of naturalistic colours, as well as the use of a palette knife in a swift and sweeping motion, areas of smooth creamy paint fill the canvas, adding a lovely three-dimensional texture to the painted surface and also capturing the raw feel of the worn and weathered building surfaces.

This oil on board is in excellent vintage condition. It is housed in a complementary distressed silver frame. It has some minor scuffs but this is typical for a frame of this age and adds to the charm of the ‘distressed’ style of it.
