This lively composition depicts 2 sunflowers in full bloom, standing proudly in a jar. Rich and vivid colours have been applied to the canvas, and the painting is heavily textured with areas of creamy impasto – where the paint has been applied thickly such that it stands proud from the surface, adding a beautiful raw textural quality to the work.
This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary deep profile frame. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
