There is a concerted focus on the effects of the natural light on the water, trees, and sky in this painting. The artist shows off his skill and ability – somehow creating a palpable crispness, despite the loose brushwork. There is an overriding sense that here is a painting that is to be experienced, and not just looked at.

The artwork is housed in a deep light brown painted wood frame. Painting is in excellent vintage condition. The frame has some minor marks and discolouration commensurate for its age, but this does not detract from the painting and if anything adds to its character.
