An excellently executed mid century semi abstract oil on board, painted in 1959 by well known  artist Ivar Morsing.

Three figures working the land are depicted against an abstract background. A deep, rich and vivid palette of browns, orange, black and greens give this picture its punch. Contrasting blocks of saturated colour have been applied to the surface, illustrating the artist’s cubist influences, which he is most known for. This gorgeous semi-abstract painting in oil would certainly stand out in any interior, whether traditional or modern.

The painting is beautifully framed in deep blue frame with an ornate gilt inner section. The frame really enhances the piece and brings out the rich colours in the painting. Both frame and painting are in excellent vintage condition.
