An absolutely stunning miniature impressionist painting of a view in Paris, most probably Montmartre. This original oil carries such confidence within its small frame. The artist shows off his skill, contrasting strong and heavily impasto-ed areas of thick paint (achieved through the use of a palette knife) with areas of detail and softer brushwork. The artist has managed to perfectly capture the sunlight pouring over the roofs of the grand buildings, and the city streets below.

Housed in a thin gilt and linen-lined frame, this miniature oil is in excellent vintage condition.
