This painterly landscape features broad, gestural brushstrokes. A tall tree frames the landscape to the left, and a red house punctuates the composition, with blue mountains beyond. The artist has used horizontal layers of contrasting colours to draw our eyes from the foreground to the background, creating a sense of depth.

The painting is housed in a simple wood frame which suits it well. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
