This composition depicts a lemon and brown jug placed above a cloth, and laid across a brown surface.

Painted in a modernist style, the artist has used contrasting shades of white, cream and brown to demonstrate depth and width to the painting. Upon close inspection, one can also notice undertones of dark green and orange, as the artist has also beautifully layered the respective colours to express interest.

Using a soothing palette of rich and muted neutral colours, powerful and expressive swathes have been confidently applied to the surface, imbuing the work with a light textural quality and an uplifting feel.

This very well balanced painting would make the perfect dining room or kitchen interior addition.

This oil on canvas is housed in its original mid century silver frame with an inner linen lined window. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
