A white jug is placed amongst apples on a table top, and is set against an eye-catching background painted in a mix of blues including turquoise and cerulean blue. The overall colours used in this painting are very uplifting, and can brighten one’s home and mood.

Executed in oil pastel, and the artist has embraced various techniques of mixing, smudging and blending the colours with speed and vigour.

This artwork in particular is reminiscent of still life scenes of fruits from Paul Cezanne.

There is a fold that runs through the middle of this artwork on paper (as shown), which although visible, adds an ‘expressiveness’ to the work which is in line with the almost naïve style that the artist has used.

It is housed in a white card mount and a unique blue and pewter frame; and comes glazed (there is a layer of plexiglass between the frame and the artwork).
