An abstracted landscape of trees, painted in oil onto board. The artist has used a rich and earthy palette of greens, blacks and browns to create this semi-abstract painting. He has focused on form, shapes, patterns and lines, and consciously ignored the reality of a tree filled landscape. Leaves, branches and trunks have been reduced to flat planes of coloured shapes and bold lines. The visible brushstrokes in a matte finish give this painting its distinct mid century modern style, and would stand out in any interior.

The painting is housed in a simple dark brown wood frame. There are some minor surface marks to both frame and painting, but these do not detract from the overall attractiveness of the piece, and if anything add to its charm.
