A well-executed oil on canvas depicting 3 good friends having a conversation in the outdoors on a winter’s day.

What’s most striking is the use of the impasto technique – where the artist has confidently applied thick layers of paint on the canvas, giving it an outstanding three-dimensional appearance.

Although a restrained colour palette with a predominance of blue, green, and orange can be seen, the way that the artist has skilfully layered and blended the colours together so harmoniously is simply stunning.

Furthermore, there is a layer of varnish that coats the surface of the painting. This gives it a layer of shine, enhancing its aesthetic appeal, whilst acting as a layer of protection to the artwork.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary rattan-lined wood frame with an inner silver window. Both artwork and frame are in excellent vintage condition.

Do note that some glare is evident in the photograph due to the varnish on the picture.
