Depicting a quiet town situated in the hills, the work has been executed in a semi-abstract manner through the use of visible and painterly multi-directional brushstrokes.

There is a haunting beauty and a sense of melancholy in this painting –  mainly brought forth from the black tones that contrast strongly against the bold earthy shades.

This oil on canvas is in excellent vintage condition. It is housed in a wood frame with a linen lining that has seen a loss to the bottom left corner (as shown  clearly in the photos).
