The painting depicts a panoramic view of an open agricultural field, with a row of houses surrounded by greenery situated in the distance.

Expressive multi-directional brushstrokes fill the canvas, and the strong contrast of darker shades of brown used to paint the earth and the lighter shades of white and blue used to paint the sky makes the work well balanced.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary dark wood frame with an inner gilt window. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
