In this composition we see a female figure seated on the edge of surface, with both her hands placed lightly on it. Her gaze is turned away from us, so there is an element of mystery about her, The artist has captured her form and tonal variations of her skin brilliantly. A combination of hues of beige, yellow, brown and pink are set against a blue-ish background, with hints of purple and green.  There is a palpable timelessness to this painting, which would make it a really lovely addition to an interior setting.

This wonderful oil on canvas is housed in a light grey frame which suits it impeccably. The painting has two closed tears to the left edge, as shown in the close ups. There is scattered craquelure and small areas of paint loss present.
