An energetic and atmospheric mid century coastal landscape composition,  executed in oil on canvas.

Rendered in a semi abstract and expressionist manner, the artist has skilfully layered planes of contrasting rich colour tones to create depth and interest within this panoramic coastal scape.

Although the broad brushstrokes have been executed in a seemingly loose and rapid manner, they are thoughtful and precise. The lively colour hues give way to this uplifting and energising work.

This oil on canvas is in good vintage condition, with some very minor surface marks typical for an oil of this age. It is housed in its original mid century gilt frame. The frame has some minor marks and scuffs which do not detract from its overall attractiveness.
