A wonderfully bold and textured mid century oil, painted in 1969. The artist has applied thick layers of creamy oil paint in an expressive manner, creating this wonderful canal composition. A saturated colour palette of blues, greens, reds, and browns make up this dynamic picture, where a row of old buildings set the backdrop for a river with boats.

The oil on canvas is housed in a thick wood frame which suits it very well, picking up beautifully on the colours within the painting. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
