A fun mid-century figurative portrait, executed in oil onto board.

Four figures clad in matching attire are depicted huddling together. The figures, characterised by their blonde hair and slightly cartoonish features appear to be friends and exude a sense of togetherness. They have been outlined in bold black strokes, further highlighting their form.

The artist has purposefully used a restrained colour palette, predominantly composed of muted creams and subtle grays, lending a serene and contemplative atmosphere to the scene. Expressive brushstrokes add texture to the composition, enhancing the emotional depth of the portrayal.

This oil on board is housed in a well-suited wood frame with an inner linen border and silver window. The painting is in excellent vintage condition. There is general age wear and scuffs present to the frame edges and age toning to linen border.
