A very elegant medium sized painting mid century floral in oil, painted onto canvas.

Executed in a modernist style, the artist depicts a simple but very effective composition of flowers (lily of the valley) in a cobalt blue blown glass vase, sitting quietly on a window sill.  The artist has played with shape and form, depicting the vase of flowers against an abstracted background. The colours of the background cleverly correspond with the colours of leaves and vase, creating a wonderful sense of harmony within the picture.

This abstracted floral oil is housed within its original mid century frame. The painting is in excellent condition. The frame has some very minor scuffs to its edges but this is in keeping with its style and age and does not detract from the overall attractiveness of the piece.
