The artist displays his outstanding painterly skills – using planes of contrasting colours to create this painting full of depth and detail. The soft brushstrokes used create an overall gentle effect to the painting.

This large oil on canvas is housed in a very complementary mid century frame with an inner and outer gilt window with a linen lining. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, and there are minor scuffs and spots on the frame.
