A small but brilliantly executed mid century abstract still life in oil, by Swedish artist Ivar Morsing, painted in 1956. A bold and vivid palette of black, yellow and green give this picture its punch. Contrasting blocks of saturated colour have been applied to the surface, illustrating the artist’s cubist influences, which he is most known for. This gorgeous semi-abstract painting in oil would certainly stand out in any interior, whether traditional or modern.

The painting is housed in a dark grey tray frame which suits the style and palette of the painting very well. The painting has some slight losses to the outer edges (as shown in photos), but this does not detract from its overall attractiveness.
