The artist has used distinct and expressive brushstrokes, creating wonderful texture through the medium of oil. The painting has a very emotive effect, due to the colour palette used as well as the dynamism of the strokes. The artist has made a concerted effort to capture the spirit and essence of the landscape, as opposed to its realistic features.
The painting is housed in a very complementary silvery grey frame with a very unique inner velvet lining in blue which picks up on the palette of the painting beautifully. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
