 A quaint and colourful evening street scene, set in Paris. Several figures roam the city streets, probably on their way to an evening meal. A warm light shines from a restaurant to the right of the picture, which has a striking red roof. To the lower left of the picture a colourful phone booth stands next to a street lamp. In the background, steps lead toward a clock tower. Despite the ‘busy-ness’ of the painting, there is an air of calm and familiarity.

This expressive painting is housed in a  deep profile gilt frame with an inner linen and cream border. Both painting and frame are in excellent vintage condition.
