A calm and tranquil mid century abstract coastal landscape, executed in oil onto canvas.

Containing elements of abstraction and working with a modernist ethos, the artist has creatively reconstructed a coastline scene of what appears to be rocks by a sea of water down to blocks of contrasting colours.

The painting has a very calming and restful quality – brought forth through the use of a restrained colour palette comprising shades of cream and grey as well as the gentle painterly brushstrokes.

This oil on canvas is housed in a complementary wide profile dark wood frame with an inner gilt window. Both painting and frame are in very good vintage condition.
