    A brilliantly executed mid-century figurative composition painted in oil onto canvas, that beautifully captures the essence of modernist style.

    Geometric abstract in nature, the painting is an exploration of form, colour, texture, and technique. Various shapes including circles, triangles, and squares intermingle and intersect, and have been carefully arranged to establish a harmonious balance.

    A range of blue shades from cerulean blue to azure blue, as well a black, commands our attention.     A very pleasant modernist still life oil composition dated 1974, and painted by the established Swedish artist Ture Fabiansson (1910-1994), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, The Museum of Art in Gothenburg, Jönköping Museum, Borås Art Museum, and many others.

    Featuring 4 luscious apples arranged on a green clothed surface and contrasted against a brown backdrop, the painting invites viewers to appreciate the beauty of simple, everyday objects. It embodies the essence of a modernist style and we can see influences by post-impressionist French artist Paul Cezanne.
