A mid century modernist wrought iron sculpture mounted onto a wooden base, and dated 1980.
This very uplifting and well crafted wrought iron sculpture depicts two figures, one holding the other up. The upper figure appears to be suspended in the air from certain angles, but has one connection to the lower figure. There is playful experimentation with different shapes and forms, creating different points of interest depending on the viewing angle.
The subject of the piece is joyful, and hopeful – one figure is lifting the other presumably in celebration. It is a reminder of good times and being in high spirits.
The wooden base is monogrammed and dated.

A striking and beautifully crafted and painted wooden sculpture by Swedish designer Anna Efverlund.
Modernist in form, it focuses on abstraction, fragmentation and non-representation. We are encouraged instead to appreciate the essence of its shape, colour and pattern. An almost hemispherical shape sits on a thin leg, and as we rotate it we see that one end of it ends on a flat edge. Its texture is beautifully smooth, and the black and white stripes create a striking effect.

A very quirky and endearing ceramic bust sculpture, signed to the bottom.
This white glazed bust has fantastic facial features, including turquoise ceramic eyes, and a jet black twisted moustache. His mouth is shaped into a small ‘o’, creating his slightly surprised look. The artist has included special little details, including a pierced ear as well as comb marks through his hair.
This vintage ceramic bust would certainly be a wonderful statement piece and conversation starter in any setting.
It is in good vintage condition. It has firing imperfections, such as the line running down beside the nose but the sculpture is solid and stable.
