A soothing and elegant mid 20th century still life executed in oil, where a group of fruits including an apple, orange, 3 pears as well as a blue vase are depicted atop a green surface.

A rich and lively palette including blues and greens have been used to paint the objects, as they sit against a beautiful peach backdrop filled with multiple undertones. The artist displays his painterly skills by using different hues of each shade and blending them well together to achieve a sense of three-dimensionality for each object.

The painting has been well-executed in an expressionist manner –  with dynamic and detailed brushstrokes lending the artwork an impressive visual and vibrant appeal.

This oil on board is in very good vintage condition. It is housed in a well-suited light wood frame, and there is a very small area of surface paint loss to the the right edge of the frame, but this does not detract from its overall attractiveness and is in lined to its vintage feel.
